Here we go again. Yet another concert. This time we go for Indie. On sunday night I went for a concert of Kings of Convenience. We made our way up to Jakarta to the fanciest mall of all. One Pacific Place with a Ritz Carlton Hotel. The food court is amazing, it contains sailing boats. But let’s put the luxuries aside and talk about the real deal: music. We went up into the ballroom of the Ritz. Before the Kings of Convenience actually played, Jens Lekman, NOT Lehmann. In my opinion it was good, but melancholic music. Till the end it even got funky and you could move to it. Well after him Kings of Convenience followed and the masses were going crazy. Though one of them actually was sick they still played. Lucky me. They’re playing a really low profile, just the both and their guitars. Their voice is soft, the heavier is their impact. Some songs they even played featuring some indonesian guest musicans from White Shoes & The Couples Company. In the end one of them, Erlend Øye, sung a song in Indonesian as an encore, the crowd was as happy as it could be. All in all a wonderful night, I enjoyed myself quite a lot in that concert. Und wieder einmal geht es auf ein Konzert. Dieses Mal haben wir es mit Indie zu tun. Am Sonntag Abend war ich auf einem Kings of Convenience Konzert. Wir machten uns also auf nach Jakarta zu der neusten und abgefahrensten Mall überhaupt, der One Pacific Place mit einem Ritz Carlton Hotel. Der Essensbereich ist das Verrückteste an der Mall, es beinhaltet Segelboote. Aber wir ignorieren jetzt mal den ganzen Luxus, schließlich geht es um etwas anderes: Musik. Wir gingen hoch in den Ballsaal des Ritz. Vor den Kings of Convenience spielte Jens Lekman, NICHT Lehmann. Meiner Meinung nach war es sehr schöne, wenn auch melancholische Musik. Am Ende wurde es sogar noch richtig lebendig und man konnte dazu tanzen. Nach ihm kamen Kings of Convenience und die Masse brodelte. Und das, obwohl einer von ihnen krank war. Ich hatte mal wieder Glück. Sie spielen sehr leise Töne, nur sie beide und ihre Gitarren. Ihre Stimme ist sanft, der Eindruck, den sie hinterlassen, dafür umso nachträglicher. Ein paar Lieder sangen sie sogar mit ein paar der Künstler der indonesischen Band White Shoes & The Couples Company (leider nur in Englisch). Als Zugabe sang einer der beiden, Erlend Øye, ein Lied auf Indonesisch, alle waren restlos glücklich. Alles in allem eine wunderschöne Nacht, ich habe das Konzert in vollen Zügen genossen. Achja, es tut mir Leid wegen der Bilder, aber meine Kamera musste außerhalb des Konzertsaals bleiben, immerhin dürfte das Handy mit rein …

Otra vez me iba a un concierto. Esta vez era indie. El domingo por la noch me iba a un concierto de Kings of Convenience. Nos ibamos a Jakarta a la mall más imponente de todas, el One Pacific Place con un hotel de Ritz Carlton. En la area de comida hubo veleros. Pero no hablamos de lujo, ya que lo importante es la música. Nos ibamos a la sala de baile del Ritz. Antes de los Kings of Convenience tocaba Jens Lekman, NO Lehmann. En mi opinión es música muy buena, aunque sea melancólica. Al final hasta se pusó bailable. Después de el entraron los Kings of Convenience y el público se volvió loco. Uno de los dos era enfermo, pero aún así tocaban. Que suerte tenía yo. Tocan sonidos muy suaves, sólo los dos y sus guitarras. Sus voces son blandas, ero la impressión es residual. Cantaron unas canciones con músicos huspedes indonesios de White Shoes & The Couples Company ( disponible solamente en inglés). Como bis uno de los dos, Erlend Øye, cantó una canción en indonesio y la gente era tan feliz. Era una de las noches buenas de la vida, yo disfrutaba el concierto a lo máximo. Por las imagines me tengo que disculpar, pero mi cámara era prohibida dentro de la sala, por lo menos pude llevar mi celular …
