Malaysian Adventures: Time’s up

By the time I’m writing this I’m already sitting in my room in Bogor. I made it back home. The last two days in Malaysia I had to spend in the Embassies. First in the German, later on in the Indonesian. But after some time I had it all figured out and was ready to head back to the airport. I headed one last time past the Petronas Towers. They are truely impressive to look at. I sat in the bus and saw the city slowly disappearing behind me as the airport came closer. The bus silently hovered the 80 kilometers till the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Lamentably I had to find out that my flight was delayed, but actually I was just happy to get home soon, so that I didn’t really mind. Malaysia indeed was mind-blowingly different from Indonesia. Not only culturally, but also in terms of development. At least when it comes to the metroolitan area of Kuala Lumpur. I realized this when the bus carried me home from the Jakarta International Airport to Bogor. The bus was shaking as it fought its way down the toll road. My atempts to sleep had all been relinquished by the streets condition. But it is interesting to see how a place grows homely, you only realise when you forgive it its faults. After all I’m happy to have experienced this and to be finally back home in Bogor. I already have several new YCM stories coming up. I try to keep up somehow. Soon you’ll hear more.
