Time is running up so fast. I got one more week in Indonesia, though I still have a lot of material to write about, so you will still here from me after I returned. I already got some ideas how to continue this blog after the year. My older host sister Chandri have me a wonderful goodbye present. We went to a private concert from Maliq & D’Essentials, my favorite Indonesian band. They play some kind of pop jazz. Actually the event was a product lunch for some whitening creme. Yes, while white people generally dream of having a darker skin, dark skinned people dream quiet the opposite, isn’t it funny? One of Chandri’s friends was part of the organizing and was allowed to let friends in. We could even sit in the first row and could enjoy one hour of Maliq from the closest possible. They even performed a song from there new album which isn’t even launched yet. While their discs are good to listen to, it’s the live act that really makes them extraordinary musicians. The lead singer even walked into the audience and let a girl sing a part of the song. They have a spirit that is barely to be caught with a lense, but I tried it anyway. Afterwards there was a fashion show. There is always times for a first time. So my first fashion show was at a product lunch. Well, you can think what you want about the meaning of the performed fashion show, but the staging was perfect. First a black dressed international model performed some kind of dance, followed by a presentation of many black dresses. Then after a short video introducing the product Indonesian models came on the stage in white. Followed by a beautiful dance in white. Then the international models showed up once again, but they had changed from black to white. Just when we thought it was over Maliq reentered the stage to give an encore. So after all I was lucky to watch the whole fashion show, otherwise I’d missed the encore.

Die Zeit vergeht so schnell. Ich habe noch gut eine Woche in Indonesien, aber ich habe immer noch genug Material, um für eine ganze Weile weiterzuschreiben. Ihr werdet also auch noch nach meiner Rückkehr von mir hören. Außerdem habe ich schon Pläne für die Zukunft meines Blogs nach meiner Zeit hier. Meine ältere Gastschwester Chandri hat mir ein wunderbares Abschiedsgeschenk gemacht. Wir sind auf ein privates Konzert von Maliq & D’Essentials gefahren, meiner Lieblingsband aus Indonesien. Sie spielen eine Art von Pop-Jazz. Genaugenommen war es eine Produkteinführung für eine Weißungscreme. Ja, während weiße Menschen größtenteils davon träumen eine dunklere Hautfarbe zu haben, ist es bei dunkelhäutigeren genau das Gegenteil, lustig oder? Eine von Chandris Freundinnen hat bei der Produkteinführung mitgearbeitet und dürfte Freunde einladen. Wir konnten sogar in der erste Reihe sitzen und dabei eine Stunde Maliq aus nächster Nähe genießen. Sie haben sogar ein Lied von ihrem neuen Album gespielt, das noch nicht veröffentlicht ist. Während es echt schön ist, ihre CDs anzuhören, blühen sie erst so richtig in Livekonzerten auf. Der Frontsinger begab sich sogar ins Publikum und ließ ein Mädchen ein Teil des Liedes singen. Sie haben einfach eine Aura, die sich nicht wirklich in Bildern einfangen lässt, aber ich habe es trotzdem probiert. Danach gab es eine Modenschau. Es gibt immer ein erstes Mal. Meine erste Modenschau war also für eine Produkteinführung. Nun, man mag sich über die Bedeutung der Modenschau streiten, aber die Inszenierung war perfekt. Erst tanzte ein internationales Modell in schwarz gekleidet eine Art Tanz, danach wurden mehrere schwarze Kleider vorgestellt. Nach einem Video, welches das Produkt vorstellte, kamen indonesische Modells in weiß auf die Bühne. Daraufhin folge ein sehr schöner Tanz in weiß und zu guter letzt traten die internationalen Modells noch mal auf, diesmal aber nicht mehr schwarz, sondern in weiß. Wir wollten uns gerade aufmachen, als Maliq zurück auf die Bühne kam um eine Zugabe zu geben. So war ich letztendlich doch glücklich die ganze Modenschau angesehen zu haben, sonst hätte ich ja noch die Zugabe verpasst.

El tiempo pasa tan rapidamente. Ya sólo me queda una semana en Indonesia. Pero aún tengo bastante material para escribirles un rato más. Escucharán de mi después de mi regreso. Hasta que tengo planes como continuar con mi blog después de ese año. Mi hermana de hospedaje major me regaló un maravilloso regalo de despedida. Nos ibamos a un concierto de Maliq & D’Essentials, mi favorito grupo indonesio. Ellos tocan un tipo de pop jazz. De hecho era un lanzamiento de una crema para blanquearse. Sí, como la mayoría de la gente blanca quiere ser más bronzeada, la gente morena quiere lo contrario, divertido, verdad? Una de las amigas de Chandri estaba parte de la organizacion de ese evento y tuvo el permiso de invitar sus amigos. Hasta que pudimos sentirnos en la primera fila y ver Maliq de lo más cerca posible. Además tocaron una canción de su nuevo disco que aún no han publicado. Escuchar sus discos es bueno, pero verles en vivo es otro nivel y la razón porque son musicos tan buenos. El cantante principal paseaba por el público y dejó cantar a una chica. Maliq tiene una aura que no se puede capturar por fotos, pero de todos modos lo intentaba. Después hubo un pase de moda. Siempre hay tiempo para hacer algo por la primera vez. Asistir a un pase de moda por la primera vez por mi era durante el lanzamiento de un producto. Pueden decir lo que quieren sobre las implicaciones de ese pase de moda, pero la escenificación era perfecta. Primero hubo una forma de baile por un modelo internacional en negro. Seguido por la presentación de vestidos negros. Después de un video que presentó el producto entraron modelos indonesias en vestidos blancos. Seguido por otro baile lindo, pero esta vez en blanco. Al final los modelos internacionales regresaron al escenario, pero esta vez en vestidos blancos. Estabamos al punto de irnos cuando Maliq regresó al escenario para dar una pieza fuera de programa. Al final valió quedarse porque hubiera perdido el pieza fuera de programa.
